The Gift of Worship

Worship is indeed a way of life. It is not limited to a specific day of the week, a certain time of day, or held within the severely limiting four walls of what we call "the church". As God's love for us is limitless, so should the reasons be for worshipping the Unlimited Supplier of everything good in our lives. We must remember that "every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow." (James 1:17).
If there is an interesting twist in that, it is this...undoubtedly God's ways are higher than our ways, He can wrap the blessing package any way He chooses and because we are human, we can get caught up in the circumstance surrounding that good and perfect gift (remember, it is perfect because it has already passed through His hand and is His will), we end up losing sight of the fact that God is worthy even as our life begins to unwrap the seemingly difficult package. However, when the circumstance has passed and we are left with the intent of God's purpose (more strength, a deeper walk, more understanding, clearer purpose, a new level, etc.), don't forget to stop and thank Him for all that He has done and all He has given.
